KCCA FC renews contract with StarTimes

The new shirt sponsorship deal increased from sh235m per year to sh400m.

KAMPALA - Uganda's top flight reigning champions KCCA FC have renewed their sponsorship deal with StarTimes at Lugogo in Kampala.

From July 1, 2017, StarTimes shall be the shirt sponsor and will also take over the naming rights of Philip Omondi Stadium - the home of KCCA FC - for a sum of sh3.2bn for the next four years.

The new shirt sponsorship deal increased from sh235m per year to sh400m while naming rights of stadium will be at sh400m per year.

KCCA will be receiving sh800m per year for both the shirt sponsorship and stadium naming rights for next four years.

The first installment of sh200m will be paid on or before October 1, 2017 and the second installment on or before January 1, 2018.

The third installment will be paid on or before April 1, 2018 while the fourth on or before July 1, 2018.

StarTimes will host an exclusively club TV at no cost on the StarTimes Platform.

KCCA executive director Jennifer Musisi, StarTimes CEO Andy Wang and StarTimes in Uganda vice president Aldrine Nsubuga attended the event.

Club chairman Julius Kabugo, club board members, players, club legends, among others also attended.
