Pool star Waswa Kayiya won a total of six medals at a prize giving ceremony organised by the Pool Association of Uganda.

Kayiya's team Scrap Buyers were recently crowned senior league champions.

The scrap buyers' captain is happy for the feat he has achieved by winning a record 8 senior league titles.

"This makes me very happy because when I started playing pool on the national scene, I didn't see myself setting a record or winning eight
senior league titles," Kayiya said.

The veteran player has played actively for more than 10 years and he is not about to retire.

"Pool is more of a mind game than a physical thing, you don't need to be a certain age to play. I don't see myself retiring soon especially
since am only thirty years old," Kayiya said.

"There was never a day I thought of playing without winning. There is no point in playing without winning," he said.

The captain is hell bent on adding more medals to his cabinet which is why he is already plotting his teams title defence.

"We are already thinking of adding two more players to strengthen our team thanks to our sponsors Kyato Motors that will become a reality,"
he said.

If all goes according to plan, then Waswa Kayiya may well be celebrating his 9th title.
