Uganda's head of delegation at the International Women's T20 Cup in the UAE, believes Uganda are the favorites to win the seven nation tournament that got underway Wednesday.

It's still early days but Dennis Musali, after seeing an impressive display by the Ugandan side beating Oman by an 87 runs victory at Sharjah ground is confident the Championship is Uganda's to lose!

"Honestly basing on my findings here, so far I don't see any team carrying a lot of threat and to put it short, the least we can achieve is losing in the final," said Musali.

Meanwhile skipper opened with figures of 23 from 32 balls before Franklyn Najjumba and Carol Namugenyi hit 35 and 23 not out respectively en-route to a 126 team score in 20 overs in Uganda's Innings.

Batting second, Oman their top order could only manage a total of 13 with the fourth bat Varshali Tesrani hitting 10 and Hina Javed 2 before she was quickly out bowled.

Uganda was not about to stop when Mackenzie Ayato and Consylate  Aweko picked 2 wickets a piece as Oman was all out for 39. Uganda plays Kuwait next on Saturday.
