Presidents Museveni, Zuma meet in South Africa

Also present at the airport was Uganda's Foreign Affairs Minister, Sam Kutesa and Uganda's High Commissioner to South Africa, Julius Peter Moto.

President Yoweri Museveni has this afternoon arrived in South Africa for a two-day working visit.

The President arrived at Lanseria International Airport in Johannesburg at 1.30p.m. local time and was received by Mr Landers Luwellyn, the South African Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Relations.

 

Also present at the airport was Uganda's Foreign Affairs Minister, Sam Kutesa and Uganda's High Commissioner to South Africa, Julius Peter Moto.

 

Later in the afternoon, the President met his host, President Jacob Zuma at the Sefako Makgatho Presidential Guest House in Pretoria where they held a bilateral discussion, attended by Chief of Defence Forces, Katumba Wamala.

 

The principals discussed issues of mutual interest between their two countries ranging from the economy to security, among others.
