Mbarara man arrested over aiding abortion and causing death

Police in the western district of Mbarara are holding a laboratory technician for allegedly procuring abortion and causing death.

Julius Tushabe, 36, a resident of Lubiri, in Mbarara Municipality is suspected to have been illegally carrying out abortions.

The Rwizi Regional police spokesperson, Idd Ibin Ssenkumbi, said Tushabe has been impersonating as a doctor attached to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital.

 He was arrested at the hospital looking for girls with unwanted pregnancies.
