Uganda Rugby Cranes team manager Michael Wandera is convinced that the squad will put up an impressive preformance at the upcoming Dubai Rugby 7's World Series that starts December 1 in Dubai.

Majority of the players except Byron Oketayot were part of the squad that beat Namibia to win the Africa Cup 7's in Nairobi, Kenya in last September.

"We have been with them for over eight weeks and I think these are the best of the best at the moment," Wandera said as he unveiled the team at Kyadondo Rugby Club.

The summoned team of 20 players was trimmed to 14 players including skipper Eric Kasitta, Byron Oketayot, Ramathan Govule, Adrian Kasito, Philip Wokorach, Michael Okorach, Lawrence Ssebuliba, Kevin Kermundu, Pius Ogena, Solomon Okia, Alhaji Manano and James Ogongo.

The reserve players include Asuman Mugerwa and Fred Odur but will not be traveling with the team on November 28.

Meanwhile among those who failed to make it to the team include; Andrew Luyima, Joel Opio and Jaspher Ochan.

Uganda is scheduled to start the campaign on December 2 against South Africa before facing United States and Scotland in pool B.
