An activist group, calling itself the jobless brotherhood has called for reforms at Makerere University following its closure last week. The group accuses the education minister Janet Museveni of not taking steps to save one of Africa's most prestigious universities.
In a press conference in Kampala over the weekend, their spokesperson, Robert Mayanja together with the coordinator of youth coalition for change, Augustine Ojobile, said the Government needs to take action on issues that affect Ugandans such as the biting economic hardships and looming famine in many parts of the country.
