Golfers raise sh13m towards cancer fight

The one-day charity tournament used to raise money that is used for outreach advocacy programs and general education

Golfers once again hit the course for charity over the weekend raising sh13m towards the fight against breast cancer.

The Uganda Women's Cancer Support Organisation (UWCASO) and Uganda Golf Club (UGC) organized one-day tournament attracted several corporate teams as well as individuals at Kitante.

NTV's team comprised of Desmond Kareba (37pts), Noah Wahibi (31), Mary Ochieng (31) and Andrew Muhwezi (30) won the event.

The New Vision's team of Ashiraf Bagalana (35pts), Ian Parker (32), Carol Namutebi (31) and Chris Nugent (20pts) were runners up in the one-day charity tournament used to raise money that is used for outreach advocacy programs and general education, producing brochures and flyers about breast cancer.

UWUCASO treasurer Joelia Walusimbi presented gifts to the winning teams.
