Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director, Jennifer Musisi, has hailed her deputy Dr. Judith Tumusiime Tukahirwa for her contribution towards the transformation of Kampala.

"Farewell Dr. Judith...We love and appreciate you," Musisi said at the send-off ceremony.

Musisi appreciated Tumusiime, "for her immense contribution and heart for the transformation of Kampala. Her efforts will always be remembered. While with us, Dr Judith made a lot of input to the Institution's strategic planning and resource mobilisation as well as steering many projects.

Tumusiime tendered in her resignation last week citing a myriad of challenges (political, economic, and social) from within and without, which "have curtailed our efforts which need to be redressed as soon as possible, for KCCA to achieve the intended objectives."

She lamented that what KCCA has achieved in the four years is being eroded by, adding that "political expediency from certain quarters has taken over strategic planning and this has been fomented by persons within security circles.
