Three perish in Kiruhura accident.

Three people died on spot and one sustained injuries, when the vehicle they were travelling in overturned and fell in the river at Mbaba bridge Along Ibanda Kazo road in Kazo-town council Kiruhura district.

The Ibanda district police Commander Dennis Ochama, who rushed to the scene identified the dead as Wilngton Sozzi aged 30 of Nyakatookye, Ibanda Municipality, Audrey Natukunda of Ishaka Bushenyi and the driver Robert Nuwampereza aged 27 a tutor at Alliance Vocational Ibanda.

Arthur Rwomushana the only occupant who survived is currently admitted at Mayanja memorial hospital in Mbarara nursing minor injuries.

The occupants of the car registration number UAP 922W Toyota Camry were all working in Ibanda town and had gone to Kiruhura district earlier in the day for partying.

The bodies of the deceased were taken to Kazo health centre iv and Later to Ruhoko health centre iv where relatives will pick them.

Ochama said the cause of the accident is believed to be over speeding.

"Over speeding at night is risky and sometimes it is very simple to make mistakes which result into fatal accidents like this one."Ochama said.
