Midland Seconday School head teacher Adam Tindo was also arrested

Police in Koboko has arrested a senior five student of Nyarilio Secondary School for impersonating as a senior four student to sit for Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams.

Ibrahim Aluma was sitting for a South Sudanese student identified as Abraham Duboul of Midland Secondary school.

Police say the accused obtained sh400,000 from Duboul and was to be paid sh2m for sitting the exams.

Koboko Municipality education officer David Dimba was tipped off which led to Aluma's arrest as well as the former deputy Midland head teacher Adam Tindo.

Tindo was later released on Police bond as investigations into the matter continue.

The Police spokesperson for North Western region, Josephine Angucia said Duboul is still on run.
