The counsel of the suspects Richard Bundu reported late

Arua chief magistrate's court on Tuesday refused to grant bail to 21 people accused of carrying out the attack on Ediofe Cathedral in September.

The presiding magistrate Williams Kumakech Robinson adjourned hearing of the case to October 31, after the lawyer representing the accused delayed to appear in court.

Sureties of the accused had reported to court early in the morning after court had communicated that the session would commence at 10am but luck was not on their side when the counsel of the suspects Richard Bundu reported late.

Relatives and friends who filled the court hall to capacity expressed disappointment over the adjournment of the session.

At the same court, a 16-year-old boy was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment for impregnating a 14-year-old girl.

The victim is a P5 pupil of Aliba Primary School in Aroi Sub County, Maracha district.
