Cranes' players to receive awards at state dinner

Uganda Cranes players willreceive their Golden Jubilee medals at a dinner organised by government, a source within the team has told the New Vision.

On Sunday, the national side was recognised by President Yoweri Museveni at Uganda's 54th Independence celebrations in Luuka District.

However, no current player of the national attended the function since the team had just returned from Tamale after Friday's game against Ghana in the 2018 World Cup qualifier.  

But 1978 Nations Cup Cranes players such as Jimmy Kirunda, goalkeeper Paul Ssali, Sam Musenze , Abby Nasur, Barnabas Mwesigwa  and Hononary FUFA President Lawrence Mulindwa were present to receive their 'Golden Jubilee' medals.
