Kawempe Muslim made history as the first side to retain the FUFA Women Elite League last season

The third edition of the FUFA Women football league is expected to start in the first week of November.

With various teams strengthening their sides with new players, the next edition might perhaps be the most competitive ever since the league  was introduced in 2015.

Kawempe Muslim made history as the first side to retain the FUFA Women Elite League last season. The Kampala side defeated rivals She Corporates 4-2 on penalties after goalless in the second edition final at Nakivubo stadium on June 26.

Kawempe didn't only walk away with title but their deadly duo Hasifa Nassuna and Sandra Nabweteeme won the MVP and top scorer awards respectively. Nabweteeme scored 22 goals in the season while Nassuna scored 19 goals with 17 assists.
