Soccer fans in Moroto town and the surrounding areas were delighted as different teams displayed their skills at the on-going City Tyres U-14 Chenga Challenge grand finale at Boma ground.

The two day final that ends Saturday, has  attracted eleven teams from different regions such as Western, North Eastern, Northern, Elgon,Rwenzori, Nile,Central, East Buganda, Southern, South Buganda  and West Nile  with over 200 participants.

At end of final, a team of twenty players will be selected and will have various friendlies in Kisumu and Mumias in Kenya.

Central region are defending champions of the event that was last held in 2014.

Scholastic materials, a set of jerseys,trophies among others will be some of the awards that will be given to various winners on Saturday.

Since its inauguration in 1998, the City Tyres Chenga Challenge has been the breeding ground for the national players like Denis Onyango,Farouk Miya and Mike Mutyaba.
