All set for Makerere guild election

Over 1,900 continuing students are expected to participate in the election
Makerere University electoral commission is set for the re-election of the guild president at the School of Education for a substantive student leader.
The results of the election held in March this year were contested by one of the candidates Roy Sembogga who said that there were irregularities at the School of Education and his competitor Bazil Mwota emerged winner.
The university tribunal appointed Jotham Burubuto as acting guild president until the re-election is held.
The chairperson of the university electoral commission Kenneth Isabirye said that everything is set to have the election tomorrow from 8am to 5pm.
He said they expect over 1,900 continuing students to participate in the election.
