Vipers' goalie Alitho keen to grab Watenga's spot

He believes it's a matter of time for him

Vipers' goalkeeper James Alitho has promised to better his performances so as to regain a starting sport.

Alitho enjoyed a couple of games in the first round of last season and also in the 2014/15 season while fellow custodian Isma Watenga was injured.

The former St Mary's Kitende player's last games in the goal for Vipers were against SC Villa and Hope Doves in the Azam Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup last season respectively.

Alitho believes it's a matter of time for him to work hard to replace Watenga.

"Playing for Vipers is important. There is a lot of healthy competition and I do know that I have huge support from the coaches. It's important for me to work harder and wait for that time when I am given a game" Alitho stated.

Vipers have three goal keepers Isma Watenga, Alitho and youngster James Aheebwa.
