Geofrey Sserunkuma scored the only goal of the game as defending champions KCCA defeated Lweza to move top of the Azam Uganda Premier League on six points.

Elsewhere, Tony Odur scored a brace on his debut as Vipers thrashed Police 4-0 at Nakivubo Stadium.

New signings Ibrahim Kayiwa and Musa Esenu scored the other goals for the Kitende side as coach Abdullah Mubiru registered his first league victory.

At Lugogo, Express came from a goal down to play out a 1-all draw with newly promoted Proline.

Derrick Tekkwo had gifted Proline the lead through an own goal before second half substitute Isaac Sserunkuma equalized for the Red Eagles.

In the Jinja derby, JMC Hippos drew 0-0 with Kirinya Jinja SS while Soana beat Saints 3-1 at Kavumba with Sam Ssimbwa in charge of his first game for Soana.

At Bugembe, Villa defeated Sadolin Paints 2-0 while URA and BUL played to a 1-all draw with BUL at Lugazi.

In Matugga, Onduparaka lost 2-0 to home side Bright Stars.
