Olympics: Uganda's Cheptegei finishes 8th, Musagala 11th

Uganda's Joshua Cheptegei finishes 8th in the men's 5000m final as Ronald Musagala comes in 11th in men's 1500m final.

Britain's Mo Farah completed a historic Olympic distance double double with victory in the 5,000m as Uganda's as Uganda's Joshua Cheptegei completed the race six seconds later in 8th place.

Meanwhile, in the 1500m final race in which Uganda also had interest, American runner Matt Centrowitz scored an upset win to claim gold as our very own, Ronald Musagala, came in 11th.

Uganda's hopes for atleast a medal at the Rio Olympics remains in today's (Sunday) men's marathon, with reigning Olympic champion Stephen Kiprotich, Jackson Kiprop and Solomon Mutai due to take part.
