The national motocross team captain Maxime Van Pee is going for the win at Jamhuri Racetrack on Saturday and Sunday.

Despite South Africa and hosts Kenya assembling their best riders in big numbers, Van Pee is ready for the fight and his charges are singing the same tune.

"Bajje" which literally means bring them on is what 85cc rider Fortune Ssentamu stated.

"We just have to avoid mistakes which may lead us to crash but the team we have is stronger and will bring results," Van Pee stated.

The temperature is 19 degrees centigrade just the same as Kampala and the track is dusty just like Garuga.

"The track is so far dry and dusty which our riders are familiar with and we are looking forward to collecting the maximum wining the various categories," Van Pee stated.

Uganda last won the FIM Africa Nations Motocross Championship in 2012 at Busiika.

Van Pee is competing against top Kenyan riders Ivan Guya, Tutu Maina, Shivamu Vinayak and former Africa champion Ross Branch from Botswana.

"They are very fast riders but I'm ready for them. There is no room for mistakes," Maxime stated.

The team has 40 riders in the Peewee, 50cc, 65cc, 85cc, MX125, MX2, MX1 and the Veterans class.
