“It's wrong for people to mobilise mobs to come and intimidate us. It's just wrong and should stop. Let the courts do its work. Let the judges do their work without interference,” a visibly irritated Katureebe said.

Whoever is mobilizing their supporters to come and disrupt court proceedings should stop, the Chief Justice Bart Katureebe has warned.

"It's wrong for people to mobilise mobs to come and intimidate us. It's just wrong and should stop. Let the courts do its work. Let the judges do their work without interference," a visibly irritated Katureebe said.

His remarks follow a crowd of pro-Kayihura protestors who stormed Makindye Chief Magistrates' Court on Wednesday protesting against criminal prosecution of the Inspector General of Police.

IGP, Maj Gen Kale Kayihura and seven other senior police officers were dragged to court over alleged torture of Dr. Kizza Besigye's supporters.

Addressing a new conference in Kampala on Thursday, the Chief Justice said. "We shall engage with relevant authorities to ensure that such incidents are not repeated at our courts."
