Otile drawn against top Zambia and Kenya players

Today all the 106 players that will compete in the main event are going through their final preparations
Tusker Malt Lager Uganda Open defending champion Ronald Otile is drawn against Zambia's Aaron Simfukwe as he embarks on his title defence at Kitante on Wednesday.
Otile tees off at 8am alongside the Zambian, and Kenya's Edwin Mudanyi as well as Toro Club's Adolf Muhumuza.
Last year Otile shot an opening two-under-par-70 on the first day en route to winning his first open championship with 297 gross over four rounds (70+75+76+76).
With most of his close competitors then having turned pro, this year's open offers another chance to other regular Ugandan contestants to make a mark at the annual event.
Ronnie Bukenya, Lawrence Muhenda, Happy Robert, Gerald Kabuye, Hussein Bagalana and Gideon Kagyenzi, all quit the amateur ranks leaving the stage to the likes of Ronald Rugumayo, Becca Mwanja, Abraham Ainamani, Hassan Kiyemba, Ashiraf Bagalana, Andrew Byaruhanga and Ismail Muhamood among others to fight it out with a strong field of Kenyan, Rwandan, Burundian and Zambian opposition.
Today all the 106 players that will compete in the main event are going through their final preparations in the official practice round ahead of tee off tomorrow.
