INATEK are the men’s defending champions

INATEK, Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) and the Rwanda junior national are the first foreign teams that have arrived for the 20thedition of the NSSF-KAVC International Volleyball Championship slated for Saturday and Sunday.

INATEK, the men's defending champions arrived from Rwanda on Friday morning and will be joined by their Ugandan power attacker Daudi Okello for their first training at Lugogo later on today.

They are pinning their hope on the well-built semi-professional player to defend the title they first won here last year.

INATEK head coach Dominique Ntawangundi said, "He (Okello) is a great addition to our club given his experience and his ability to jump high and block with accuracy".

RRA have come to defend their title in the women's championship while the Rwanda Junior National team hopes to use the championship to prepare for more international engagements.

The organisers will hold a technical meeting for the championship at Lugogo this evening and the competition throws off at MUBS, Namboole and Lugogo.

The top three winners in both club categories will bag sh3.4m, sh1.7m and sh1.1m respectively courtesy of NSSF.
