FUFA mourns Dick Katende

Katende passed away at his home at Naguru-Katale on Tuesday
National soccer governing body, FUFA has joined those in the sports fraternity to mourn the former national boxing team coach Dick Katende.
"On behalf of the FUFA executive, delegates, members of staff, the entire football community and all football loving Ugandans, we wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to the deceased, friends & relatives and Uganda Boxing Federation. However we can only thank the lord for his life and pray that his soul rests in eternal peace".
The condolence message was read to the media by the FUFA finance director, Decolas Kizza at the FUFA weekly press conference in Mengo, Kampala.
Katende passed away at his home at Naguru-Katale on Tuesday morning.
He is suspected to have accidentally slid and fatally hit the back of his head in a fall during a bathroom break.
