The Police officer allegedly applied reasonable force when the suspects resisted arrest

Police in Kole is investigating a police officer for allegedly shooting a suspect in the leg.

Keneth Nyeko, a police officer at Aboke police station has been accused of shooting Denis Okello last week when he went to arrest him.

According to a Police source that preferred anonymity, Nyeko went to pick Okello from Aboke trading centre following allegation that the latter, a crime preventer, resisted arrest and tried to grab the handcuffs from Nyeko.

He however added that Okello was resisting the arrest forcing the police officer to apply reasonable force.

The case has been registered at Kole Central Police Station on SD 11/31/2016 while investigations continue into the case.
