“Drivers need a health break just like their passengers,” says Goliath Senku a meat vendor. “They get energized after a bite of Halaal meat washed down by a sip of your choice.”

Are you travelling through Mityana. Do not miss the sizzling skewers of; beef, goat’s ribs or roast gonja, nsenene (grass hoppers) and all tribes of drinks.

He added that, a stopover in Mityana is a real treat to how fast food like; sausages and Kikomando (omelet rolled in chapati), which are prepared in less than five minutes, are prepared.

“For adventurous travellers, they can have a sip of Mwenge Muganda (banan foot wine) or Uganda Waragi,” says Senku. “By the time you reach Queen Elizabeth National Park in Kasese, expect to be inviting elephants to board and go with you for the Safari Drive.”
