My husband left me after I had triplets

We thought our dream had come true when I conceived with the first pregnancy in 2013. We became so happy knowing the first born was a boy whom we welcomed as heir.

So many couples are crying looking for babies, others adopt the kids who are not theirs but for Giripina Twinamatsiko, 30, a resident of Madirisa, makindye zone the story is different as her husband ran away after the birth of their triplets . When we were still dating, we were very happy promising each other to have a family of four children, two boys and two girls, she narrates.

We thought our dream had come true when I conceived with the first pregnancy in 2013. We became so happy knowing the first born was a boy whom we welcomed as heir.

For the past years I had spent with my husband, he had never showed me a bad heart. We took a good care of our son until I conceived again. When he got to know , he became so happy and that time, we expected a baby girl.

But then, the pregnancy was only four months, it started increasing, I was so surprised, i became so weak all the time. At six months, I decided to visit the scan to find out what was making the pregnancy so big.

To my surprise, the doctor told me I was carrying 3 kids in my stomach. I have never heard about it even in my family, no one has ever produced them. I came back home so confused because my husband had told me he didn't want to produce more than 4 children.

I did not tell him what I had found out from the hospital. It took me  months and I told him about it. He got scared and told me he was not ready to take care of three children.

Since then, we became like enemies, he started mistreating me asking me why I want to produce like a rabbit. "Those children are so many; I can't take care of them. How can you produce all those children yet there are others who wants babies and cannot get them? He asked.

Everything changed there and then until I gave birth in April this year in Mulago hospital. He came to the hospital and stood aside to confirm whether it was true that I had triplets. He kept quiet for some  minutes and later asked me" will I manage you"?

He picked us from the hospital, we went home like enemies, and no one was talking to the other. The time he spent at home with our triplets, he was not settled even when the children would cry, he had no time for them instead he would walk away.

When they (triplets) reached one month, he woke up in the morning as if he was going to work and told me he would not take care of us. I thought it was a joke to-date, I have never seen him again, all his phones are off and I don't know his home. Not even his relatives are close to me.

I was selling food in the market in Kibuye but now I can't work because I have nowhere to leave my children. The children drinks 3 liters of milk every day but I make sure I serve them and I stay hungry. When I call some of his friends and relatives I know, they tell me they don't know where he is. I am really stranded.
