The usually packed space was to be packed with fashion-savvy people and haute couture as Paple Rayn celebrated its 3rd anniversary.
It was glitz, glamour, lights, camera and action.
Fashion fanatics came in droves. And being a fashion event, people dressed to boot.
There was a cocktail setup at the start. Later, at about 9:00pm, Urban TV's Denzel Mwiyeretsi and Stellah Natumbwe (Ellah), as the emcees, officially started the show.
The runway was glowing and perfectly lit. People sat both sides, in rows, phones in hand, eyes fixed on the runway, as they buckled up for an evening of fashion.
The first design house to showcase was Mosaic Fashion House with Brenda Nakalema's edgy and seemingly sexy designs. Hands were clapped. Vencyz Bridal with bridal couture followed thereafter.
Lauma Lingerie got people whispering to each other, mouths ajar, as models showcased different lingerie.
While the models sashayed on the runway in different lingerie, upcoming dancehall act, Ceaserous, performed in between.
Anita Beryl, who will be the first Ugandan to showcase at the Nigeria Fashion Week, showcased what was one of the best designs on the night.
Kasule Raphael, known as K Raphael, showcased his futuristic and hip designs.
There were also performances from the dancing duo of Rozmerie and Viccy before Sauti Ya Africa, who were named the Paple Rayn ambassadors by Suasenna Tusiime-the proprietor of Paple Rayn, closed the performances.
The event ended at about 11:00pm.
