Following the decentralization of payment of pension and gratuity, the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries carried out a verifi cation exercise to establish bonafi de pensioners under her jurisdiction. Out of the 1909 pensioners on the MAAIF payroll as at June 2016, only 1837 have been verifi ed and cleared for payment of monthly pension; 61 records (Category I) are pending verifi cation due to lack of records of service and 10 records (Category II) have been referred back to the Ministry of Public Service for re-decentralization to their respective votes of retirement.
