Upon getting news of the untimely death of John Bosco Kyeyune popularly known as Mukajanga, many Christians gathered at Jemba plaza where he was conducting prayers and counselling every Thursday.

Hundreds of Christians could fill Jemba and Shuriako plazas every Thursday and Mondays respectively, where the popularly known charismatic catholic preacher spent over ten years conducting prayers.

Patrick Kakeeto, a Christian who has been praying with Mukajanga told The New Vision that he last saw Mukanjanga on Thursday in good health and they agreed to meet again on Saturday.

"He was a brother to everyone at both Mt Zion prayer centre Bukalango and Jemba plaza. I personally could call him anytime for all kinds of assistance and he would react immediately or delegate someone if busy," he explained.

He added that Mukajanga was organizing a pilgrimage to Israel in September.

80-year old Judith Nansubuga who was found at Jemba plaza said Mukanjanga is a fallen pillar in the Catholic Church that will be hard to replace adding that he was a person who could unite the Catholics and people of other beliefs.

She added that it is sad that Mukajanga died before she could testify to God before him for the trials she was facing at Nakasero market that ended when she prayed with him.

Willson Kasajja also a Christian at Jemba praised Mukajanga for being a people person, adding that it is proven by the numbers of people that are responding to the news of his death.

By press time, people who had gathered at the Jemba plaza were planning to travel to Mt Zion prayer centre Bukalango in Wakiso district where the vigil and burial will take place.

According to a program posted at Mt Zion prayer centre Bukalango facebook page, the body was taken to Bukalango from City Motuary at 3:00pm.

There was also Mass on Saturday at 4:00pm and burial will take place on Sunday at 4:00PM.
