As the Uganda U 19 Boys look to make a third appearance at the world cup, an invitation from Zimbabwe for the U19 invitational comes at the right time.

Uganda has been called to partake in the Zimbabwe U19 invitational that will run from 5-9 August in Harare, Zimbabwe.

"Zim is one of the best African Cricket nations and certainly an engagement with them is by all means one of the best ways to gauge our Boys" said Martin Ondeko, the  Uganda team manager.

The four day tournament will attract a total of three sides in Uganda U19, Zim U19 and U17.

Ondeko adds that as Uganda gears up for the much anticipated ICC Africa U19 qualifiers due next year, it is always good to make early preparations hence the tour to Zimbabwe is timely.

A final squadron is yet to be released as a group of players was summoned for training from which the final team will be selected.
The team will fly out on 4 August for the invitational.
