That means football competitions that will not feature on the FUFA calendar will not be allowed to take place.

Effective next season, FUFA will restrict local football competitions to only those sanctioned at Mengo-FUFA House.

That means football competitions that will not feature on the FUFA calendar will not be allowed to take place.

FUFA president Moses Magogo said that this is meant to standardize and improve quality of competitions in the country.

"By August 1st, we would have set new rules for football activities. Every activity will have to be licensed for it to be staged. The calendar is meant for standardization. We believe this is going to help us run the game smoothly," Magogo said.

For the first time, the federation has lined up various competitions in its 2016/2017 calendar to avoid clashing and ensure smooth running of the events.

The activities include local and international and competitive events.
