NCS is registering all sports governing bodies in the country under the Trusteeship Act

World soccer governing body FIFA has cleared FUFA to register with National Council of Sports under Trustees Act as required by government on grounds that there will be no interference in the governance of the game.

In a meeting at the ministry of education and sports headquarters that lasted about four hours in Kampala on Tuesday, state minister for sports Charles Bakkabulindi said that it will be the responsibility of FUFA, FIFA and the government to ensure football is peacefully managed.

"We agreed that FUFA has to comply with registration. Government and FUFA will also ensure that there is no interference in football matters" Bakkabulindi said.

NCS is registering all sports governing bodies in the country under the Trusteeship Act but they have disagreed with FUFA that had hitherto insisted that they cannot oblige to the demand because it contravenes FIFA statutes.

"We have reached a position acceptable to government and FIFA. We did not want to complete registration without consent of FIFA. We shall now complete our registration even before August" FUFA president Moses Magogo said.

After the agreement FUFA has until August 10th to complete the registration.
