APAC - The top leaders of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) in Apac district have scheduled this Friday for a delegates conference.

The conference will be held at Mayove Hotel in Apac town as a preparatory strategy to line up political candidates for the political positions in Apac municipality.

Samuel Ogweng, the NRM administrative assistant, confirmed their plans to reporters, saying they would devise strategies of taking "wholly" the elective offices at the municipal council.

In a brief press release, Ogweng said the conference will bring together all the party chairpersons at all levels from parish levels, and those intending to contest for Apac municipal council positions.

According to the NRM district chairperson Talib Okabo, the move is aimed at neutralizing and ensuring discipline of party members to improve their power of mobilization in the forthcoming municipal campaigns.

The conference scheduled under the NRM secretariat will also bring on board the aggrieved party loyals as the district prepares for another mass mobilization for votes.

On the related campaign strategy, a number of candidates have  started underground campaigns including Jovino Akaki, Patriock Ocan, and Jacob Otim, among several others who have declared interest.
