UCA National Men's League

Aziz Darmani 330/9 Charity 230 (Charity won by 120 runs)

For every effort, there surely seems to be a reward! Siva Kotti's humongous investment in Aziz Darmani has paid off as the club was confirmed UCA men's division two champions following their win against Charity at Budo Oval on Sunday.

At the start of the season, Darmani registered three signings from top flight clubs; Brian Masaba from Tornado, Arnold Otwani from Challengers and former national team pace bowler Assadu Seiga from KICC

With a 2016 budget of sh75-80m and sponsorship from Gittoes Pharmaceuticals, Dukes Water and ABC Impex, Aziz Darmani distinguished themselves as the most financially stable and organized team and that they have become champions is not a surprise.

They have closed one chapter and opened another for they will now make their way to the top tier come 2017 and what a season we have in waiting!

"This is a big achievement for the team. We will now scheme a plan of how we shall compete in the first division" said Masaba.

Arnold Otwani's century, 103 off 125 inspired Darmani to a 120 run triumph against Charity. Sharzad Kamal weighed in with 89 from 76 as they posted 330/9 in 50 overs.

Simon Ssesaazi and Varinder Singh stood out for Charity, scoring 36 from 36 balls and 34 from 74 balls respectively.
