FIFA delegation jets in on Monday

FUFA president Eng. Moses Magogo asked for the meeting.

FIFA officials arrive in Kampala on Monday to meet government, local football governing body FUFA and the country's National Council of Sports (NCS) on Tuesday.

FIFA legal counsel Rolf Tanner, who has been to different countries on such missions before, will be accompanied by the manager member associations Luca Nicola.

NCS is registering all sports governing bodies in the country under the Trusteeship Act but they have disagreed with FUFA over the exercise. FUFA insists they cannot oblige to the demand because it contravenes the FIFA statute.

FUFA president Eng. Moses Magogo, who has been on a visit to the FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, asked for the meeting before his administration can take the risk to comply with government's demand.

FUFA confirmed the arrival of the FIFA delegation and said on their website that "details in relation to the meeting on Tuesday will be released soon".

The local football governing body however said that they have fulfilled all other requirements of the new guidelines from NCS save for the trustees required before council can issue a certificate of registration.
