All respondents who said that they had a TV in their bedroom were asked if they felt the presence of the television had led to them having a healthier and more frequent sex life, to which 67% said it did.

A new research by VoucherCodesPro.co.uk has revealed that people with a TV in the bedroom have twice as much sex as those who don't. 32% confessed to being able to have sex and watch their favourite show simultaneously.

Initially all respondents were asked ‘Do you have a TV in your bedroom?' to which 74% said ‘yes'. All respondents were then asked to state, on average, how many times a week they had sex with their partner. Once all the results were collated, they showed that those who had a TV in their bedroom had sex, on average, twice per week, whilst those without a TV in their bedroom have sex, on average, once a week.

All respondents who said that they had a TV in their bedroom were asked if they felt the presence of the television had led to them having a healthier and more frequent sex life, to which 67% said it did.

When these people were asked why, they cited watching erotic movies/programmes together (37%), having more sex without missing their favourite  programmes (32%), distracting their partner whilst watching a boring show (29%) and it just 'bringing us closer' as the top reasons.

Almost half (47%) of the respondents said they had watched television while they were having sex with their partner.

Half of those who don't have a TV in their bedroom (48%) said they wanted one but their partner didn't.

A spokesperson for VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, who commissioned the research, said technology is becoming such a pivotal part of everyday life and it's becoming much more common to have a TV in your bedroom than to not. "Whilst it's much better for your health to use your bedroom as a place to sleep and your living room as a place to watch TV, it seems that the addition of a plasma could spice things up between the sheets!"
