In his remarks, the Mufti commended Radio Bilal management for maintaining the tradition of organizing annual Quran recitation competitions and pledged his total support for the initiative.

He also thanked teachers and Sheikhs for teaching the Quran to children and urged them to offer the child an education or Ilim that unites them rather than incite or divide them.

He said Muslims in Uganda are now united and the unity should be reflected in Muslim schools.

"We are united and we are working together for Islam. That is why Amiir Daula Sheikh Sulaiman Kakeeto is here" the Mufti said.
