Man shot dead at Kampala Taxi Park

A suspected thief has been shot dead at Mega Standard Supermarket near Old Taxi Park in Kampala.

According to an eye witness, the thug was allegedly trying to grab a phone from a taxi driver who was caught up in a traffic jam.

A police officer from a nearby post intervened and as he led the suspect to custody, he attempted to wrestle him. Its at this point that the policeman shot him dead.
