The Rotary Club of Muyenga has donated 7 water-harvesting tanks to Namungoona Orthodox Mission Hospital.

The tanks and solar power installations were commissioned and handed over to the hospital by the president of the Muyenga Rotary Club, Dr. Francis Mukasa, during a function that took place at the hospital on Friday, June 24.
The Chairman of the Hospital's board of governors, Fr. Charalambus Mutalagwe thanked the Rotarians of Muyenga for identifying the dire needs of the hospital.
The Hospital's executive director, Christine Nalubwama said that the water harvesting facility would enormously improve service delivery.
Sam Kayongo, an area local council official, pledged to protect the water tanks and the solar-power system.
The project was co-funded by Rotary Foundation, Waterdown Rotary Club (Canada) and Muyenga Rotary Club.
Rotarian Prof. Jan Leentvaar, from the Netherlands also graced the function, which started with a sanctification service that was presided over by Orthodox priests.
