MX1 national champion Maxime Van Pee is more than ready for Sunday's Mountain Dew National Motocross championship at Busiika.

Maxime will battle ten-time motocross champion and the 2015 USPA rally driver of the year Arthur Blick Jr., Talha Kiggundu, Michael Ntairo, Moses Lutwama, Hood Ssemugooma and Christian Millet.

Maxime on 180 points leads second placed Blick Jr. by 33 points and will to stretch the lead.

"I'm ready for the challenge and I haven't felt fit like this before and I'm ready to go," Maxime stated. 

Meanwhile in the MX85 cc category Ben Nsumba is looking to open up the gap to rival and defending champion Fortune Ssentamu.

The two are tied on 145 points each but Nsumba is on top because he won the last event.

Nsumba on a KTM 85cc 2016 model will face Ssentamu on a KTM 85 2015 model and the two will also have to contend with the challenge from Wazir Omar, Joshua Mwangala and Waleed Omar.
