World class president Rehmah Kasule handed over the mantle to President Edward Katende. “I have complete confidence that Edward is going to do a fine job of promoting the agendas and values of Rotary club.

The Rotary club of Kampala - Impala, which holds its fellowships at Kati Kati restaurant installed a new president on Tuesday 14th June 2016 at an event well attended by its elite members.

World class president Rehmah Kasule handed over the mantle to President Edward Katende. "I have complete confidence that Edward is going to do a fine job of promoting the agendas and values of Rotary club. He brings with him a wealth of experience from the field of finance and also possess other personal qualities that are going to be beneficial to the club." Rehmah said.

In line with the clubs theme of literacy and health as a way to improve people's lives, the club donated text books to four primary schools around the country and conducted health clinics, bringing the total reach to 2260 people during her term.

The most notable achievement to which the club won a Public relations award for was the talking compound campaign that took sign posts with positive messages to 20 schools.

Echoing the same sentiments, President Katende promised to reach out to those communities that need help the most especially the vulnerable groups and encouraged everyone to embrace Rotary's theme of being a gift to the world.
