Kizito returns from World Championships

Kizito returned from the World Championships in Hungary on Thursday amid pomp from over 60 muscle men who welcomed him back at Entebbe Airport.

Mubarak Kizito's Silver medal at the International Natural Bodybuilding Association (INBA) World Champions did not only cast him in the lime light for the second time in two years but also helped him settle his long time rivalry with Ivan Byekwaso.

Kizito returned from the World Championships in Hungary on Thursday amid pomp from over 60 muscle men who welcomed him back at Entebbe Airport.

"You can't believe how happy I'm feeling. I thank God for attaining this feat for the second time because my dreams have come true; because I joined this sport first to perform on the  international scene and gain fame but also to contest with Ivan Byekwaso on the same stage," Kizito said on return at Entebbe.

"In 2013 I wanted to contest with him but he had stopped competing locally so this time I got a very good opportunity to contest with him and also beat him thoroughly, me finishing in second and him in 6th, so I would like to thank our main sponsors National Council of Sports and all the others for all they have done to make this happen,"

"I only wish we could travel as a full team because I think we can win more medals with more competitors because there is no big difference with us and the other competitors, so I call on the federation and NCS to ensure we raise a team" Kizito stated before he was driven atop a jeep in a convoy of over ten cars to town.

Kizito is now looking forward to competing at one or three of the competitions in the US; the Mr. Universe, the World Cup and the Mr. Olympia before the year end if he gets sponsorship to those events.

Mr. Universe and AM World cup holder Ivan Byekwaso with whom he travelled and is also supposed to defend these titles between September and November did not return on the same flight with Kizito.

Kizito was beaten to the gold by Ghana's Thomas Tusore with Slovakia's Vladimir Pecena, USA's Brandon Lilio and UAE'S Erve Fammoe finishing third, fourth and fifth respectively.

Last year he grabbed two gold medals at the same championships in Dubai.
