After finishing fifth overall in the North Johannesburg regional rally in the South Africa, Dan Mugalu Kyembe is now targeting the Pearl of Africa rally.

Kyembe told New Vision in an interview, finishing fifth overall in South Africa was a sign that he can take on Uganda's top crews like Ronald Ssebuguzi, Desh Kananura, Ambrose Byona, Arthur Blick Jr and Christakis Fitidis.

Navigated by South African national James Thompson in a Subaru N12, Kyembe said that it is high time he tried to take on the home based drivers in the Pearl of Africa Uganda rally.

"I want to come home and test myself against the big guns, and have a feel of racing against other African drivers," said Kyembe stated.

The Crew in South Africa posted the second best time of an hour 16.46 minutes in an event won by a South African.
