The opposition MPs lost the battle not surge the number but the supporters of the motion argued that an increase in political supervisors would yield positive results because some workers are always lazy without supervision.

Parliament on Tuesday approved a motion to increase the number of Cabinet minister from 21 to 31 and their deputies from 21 to 49.

The opposition MPs lost the battle not surge the number but the supporters of the motion argued that an increase in political supervisors would yield positive results because some workers are always lazy without supervision.

The Leader of Opposition Parliament, Winnie Kizza, said it was not logical just create more ministries.

"There was a time we had 20 ministers and yet Uganda experienced tremendous growth at the time. It's not by ministers that this country will get service delivery, as you go into the ministry be aware of Ugandans needs."
