I have moved from one market to another but all in vain."
KAMPALA - There is a noticeable shortage of broccoli and spinach on the Ugandan market. This comes despite a supply of fruits and other vegetables.
Earlier this week, it was noted that the broccoli and spinach were short in markets like Bugolobi, Nakawa and Ggaba.
A bunch of broccoli cost sh5,000 while spinach would go for sh3,000.
"I'm on a vegetable and fruit diet. I have moved from one market to another but all in vain. I had to give up, which kind of affected my diet," says Carol Natumbwe.
She predicts the prices might go up any time.
Meanwhile, a cluster of nakati, bbuga and sukuma wiki costs from sh500 to sh1000 at various markwts.
You will part with sh2,000for five small pieces of beetroot.
