Arua taxi park vendors relocated to Awindiri to create space for vehicles

Jun 08, 2016

This is in line with the municipality’s long term plan of decongesting the streets and improving the revenue collection avenues in the municipality.

An estimated 500 vendors from Arua Taxi Park were today evicted and relocated to the hitherto abandoned Awindiri market to pave way for more cars and decongest the park.

This is in line with the municipality's long term plan of decongesting the streets and improving the revenue collection avenues in the municipality.

However, some of the traders complained of an abrupt decision without prior information of the move.
