I've been appointed for my hard work - Nadduli

Hajji Abdul Nadduli has welcomed his appointment by President Yoweri Museveni to cabinet and promised to help steer the nation forward.

"Yes I have been appointed because I am a very hard working man and know how to go about the business of running a country" Nadduli said.

"I am going to be very instrumental in guiding the nation and advising on how to implement the NRM manifesto" the veteran politician added.

The former Luweero district chairman who quit elective politics this year after losing in the NRM primaries has been appointed Minister without Portfolio.

Nadduli, 74, had been the Luweero chairman for three terms before losing to long term political rival Ronald Ndawula.
