Uganda fiscal commission report recommends that Buganda should be served by guaranteed funds rather than depend on revenue from particular resources
The Government's treasury spokesperson said the Uganda Fiscal Commission report recommended that Buganda would be better served by guaranteed grants rather than depend on revenue from particular sources, which were likely to fluctuate to the Kingdom's disadvantage. The Government was considering the recommendations of the fiscal report with a view to draft a paper for the London Constitutional Conference on the financial relationship between the Central Government and other authorities in Uganda after independence.
