Ugandan traders cautioned about robberies along S. Sudan routes

Ugandan traders were recently robbed of about sh70m

Ugandan businessmen crossing to South Sudan through Lamwo district have been cautioned against crossing the border without security.

This follows the increase in the robbery of the community conducting business in South Sudan.

Lamwo Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Jonathan Rutabingwa told Radio Rupiny that there has been a rise in the robbery incidences along the route to Torit in Magwir County between April and May.

Rutabingwa said the most recent incident was on Sunday where Ugandan traders were robbed of about sh70m.
